SINUS HEALTH AND SHILAJIT

SINUS HEALTH AND SHILAJIT

We are back with another blog on Shilajit, to add to the immense benefits of Shilajit. Previously we have discussed the benefit of Shilajit for the brain, heart, anemia, oral health, women's health, and a lot more. While all these have been related to shilajit being used as a supplement, Shilajit can also be used externally as we discussed in our blog related to skin and hair. Its excellent composition allows it to become more than just a food supplement but rather a complete healing treatment for the body and mind.We will discuss here how Shilajit can be used for improving sinus health. Read on for more details on this.

What is Shilajit?

Shilajit is a natural substance found mainly in the Himalayas. Exuding from sedimentary rocks (largely in the Himalayas) shilajit is a pale-brown to blackish-brown exudate, composed of rock humus, rock minerals, and organic substances that have been compressed by layers of rock mixed with marine organisms and microbial metabolites. Said to carry the healing power of these great mountains, shilajit has been used for over 3,000 years as a rejuvenator and adaptogen in a variety of conditions.

Shilajit can also be used as an external applicator for some illnesses like ear infections or Sinusitis. Season changes are liable to bring with them minor infections, flu, etc. Your stuffy nose that just isn’t getting better, might be a sinus infection, also called sinusitis

SINUSITIS

Sinus infections happen when fluid builds up in the air-filled pockets in the face (sinuses). This fluid buildup allows germs to grow. Viruses cause most sinus infections, but bacteria can cause some sinus infections.

Risk Factors

Several factors can increase your risk of getting a sinus infection:

  • A previous cold

  • Seasonal allergies

  • Smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke

  • Structural problems within the sinuses. For example, growths on the lining of the nose or sinuses, known as nasal polyps.

  • A weak immune system or taking drugs that weaken the immune system

Symptoms

Common symptoms of sinus infections include:

  • Runny nose

  • Stuffy nose

  • Facial pain or pressure

  • Headache

  • Mucus dripping down the throat (post-nasal drip)

  • Sore throat

  • Cough

  • Bad breath

When to Seek Medical Care

See a doctor if you have:

  • Severe symptoms, such as severe headache or facial pain.

  • Symptoms that get worse after improving.

  • Symptoms lasting more than 10 days without getting better.

  • Fever longer than 3-4 days.

You should also seek medical care if you have had multiple sinus infections in the past year.

How to Feel Better

Below are some ways to help relieve sinus pain and pressure:

  • Put a warm compress over the nose and forehead to help relieve sinus pressure.

  • Use a decongestant or saline nasal spray.

  • Breathe in steam from a bowl of hot water or shower.

How shilajit helps in improving Sinus health?

Healthy drainage and maintenance of healthy sinuses can also be done using Shilajit. A nasal drop solution can also be made from Shilajit.Shilajit, healthy and natural, will drain your sinus, and support a healthy response to inflammation of the sinus tissue.

  • Healthy and effective sinuses drainage

  • Supports healthy sinus tissue and microflora

  • Healthy sinus tissue support

The Shilajit solution is supposed to unblock your breathing path by helping you clean the nasal passage. Its anti-bacterial properties should also help with infection and faster healing. To drain the sinus, you will need to make the resin into drops and use a dropper. To prepare the drops, do the following:

  1. Measure 0.5 to 1 g of resin.

  2. Dissolve the resin in 1-2 tablespoons of water.

  3. Lay with your head hanging backward and drop the solution into your nose.

  4. Allow the resin solution to stay in your nose for 3-5 minutes. Slightly move your head from left to right to ensure that the solution is dispersed into the sinuses.

  5. Get up and blow your nose. Clean the nose area with water. Repeat as many times as necessary.

Useful tips:

  1. It will take 3-10 days, to deeply drain the sinuses.

  2. In the beginning, the solution will burn. The more inflamed your tissue is, the more burning sensation you will experience. With every following, application you will experience less burning.

  3. Always use a fresh solution for the drops. Never use the solution, which was sitting outside for more than 2 hours.

Consumption of Shilajit:

Raw or unprocessed shilajit may be contaminated with heavy metals or fungi that can make you sick. Studies indicate that shilajit consumption without preliminary purification may lead to risks of intoxication given the presence of mycotoxin, heavy metal ions, oxidant agents, and free radicals, among others. Therefore, a purified, ready-for-use preparation for human consumption must be used. It’s important to consume shilajit from a source that is verified and authentic. This is where Shilajit USA comes to your rescue.
